I am the daughter of immigrants from Taiwan who never had the opportunity to be a professional baseball player. I love to watch the sport and share that love with my daughter, growing up playing the sport and being involved in community and church events. The Yankees have been my favorite team since birth and there have been some fun family moments with the Yankees.
This year however, I have received incredible thoughts and prayers and encouragement from my family and the Jewish community. My favorite player, Aaron Judge, had a bizarre injury at a time that everyone around me was in the same place. I stood amazed as a younger woman, watching people rally and find a way to deal with their frustrations to cope.
Yankees fans made everyone feel like they were family, even people from Baltimore who had already defeated us in the playoffs. Everyone became one team during those critical moments. I left with a smile on my face knowing that I now felt like I was a part of it.

Finally, the Yankees returned to the top of the American League East and fans let the team know that we are welcoming them back, jovially chanting, “We are the champ now” at every homerun.
Yankees fans came back from the off-season looking refreshed and ready to play, it’s good to see them back on top of their game.
Baseball is and has always been my religion. The fact that I have chosen this pursuit in life is a wonderful blessing. I look forward to opening my door every day to get ready for my daily prayers, and to go to synagogue when I can. For me, being Jewish is a huge part of my life.

Unbeaten by two Yankees last week. For both teams, excitement has mounted. That is until you add in the ridiculous rainout that could mean many Yankees Games were lost. So it is back to work for some, weekend for others who are on vacation.
On April 13, the Bombers took on the New York Mets in a Home Opener. The fans in the Bronx surely enjoyed all the official pomp and circumstance, including the Postal Service. It was during this stretch that a few players would be sidelined. Judge was injured after striking out in the first inning and had to get the knee scoped.
Now that Judge is back, we are watching as they conquer the rest of their schedule. Their newfound faith is showing in their play with the team neck and neck with the Boston Red Sox.

With all this joy in the air, it is not a problem for my son Nathan. He is on the field playing ball and seeing new records set everyday. The “Heservice” by Birdman has been streaming nonstop as everyone cheers on their favorites.
