CRAFTY FIGHTING AT FDA PANEL IN CHINA
18/03/21-PYONGYANG, PRINCETON. (Xinhua News Agency) – Frantic struggle of patient beds are noticed here in a psychotropic disorder treatment seminar on Wednesday at Kunlun Free Trade Zone.
The treatment seminar was held under forum of China FDA Committee on international cooperation to cooperate in research, regulation and supervision of new products in the mental disorder industry.
After intense discussion on 13 drugs promoted by pharmaceutical firm Pfizer Plc, an inter-disciplinary safety expert of Chinese FDA and drug safety regulators, Shih Chenyao, decided that the agent should be rejected to use with Chinese patients aged between 18 and 85 and those with severe emotional and mental disorders (class A and B) and moderate or severe cerebrospinal (spinal) disease, (class B) and above a high risk of killing themselves.
The experts evaluated the efficacy and safety of 12 drugs for approving treatment with 12 latest anti-psychotic drugs by Pfizer Plc, in China and abroad. The Pfizer drugs were approved for use with moxetumomab, olanzapine, quetiapine, desyazam, sufentanil, etoricoxib, disulfiram, risperidone, sertraline, citalopram, lamotrigine, fluoxetine, perphenazine, miconazole and oxcarbazepine.
However, the panel decided that the efficacy and safety of 12 Pfizer drugs be rejected, mainly in patients aged 18 to 85, and those with severe emotional and mental disorders (class A and B) and moderate or severe cerebrospinal (spinal) disease, (class B) and above a high risk of killing themselves.
Local patent protection institute, Zhongtian Pharmaceutical Industry Import and Export Co., Ltd., has confirmed that some of the unsafe drugs were manufactured at one of its factories, Wanjiting Technology Park, in Hebei Province.
The regulators ordered a factory visit by Pfizer within 15 days and will take measures to liquidate the drug company if their investigation determines that the local Zhongtian Drug Company officials recklessly allowed and encouraged production of eight Pfizer drugs, causing safety and unnecessary human injuries.
People with emotional or mental disorders in Hebei, Jiangsu and other provinces can download detailed instructions for consuming 13 Pfizer drugs from Yunnan and Guizhou drug information websites, which have been put up by the Drug Information Center of Fuyuan Drug Co. Ltd.
