Stevenson University’s “Watch Your Career Unfold” TV Ad Wins 2012 National Telly Award


Stevenson University’s “Watch Your Career Unfold” television ad campaign has won a national Telly Award for Best Use of Animation. The campaign—designed to promote Stevenson’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies—is the most recent of several Stevenson television ad campaigns created and produced by the Baltimore-based content creation house, DCP Productions.

The Telly Awards are the premier awards honoring the finest film and video productions, groundbreaking web commercials, videos and films, and outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs. Founded in 1978, Telly Awards are coveted by advertising industry leaders and creative houses across 50 states and five continents. Established to strengthen the visual arts community by inspiring, promoting, and supporting creativity, the competition received more than 11,000 entries.

 “This campaign has been especially effective in generating interest and prospective students for our School of Graduate and Professional Studies as well as expanding our visibility as a university,” said Glenda LeGendre, Vice President for Marketing and Public Relations at Stevenson. “DCP’s creative production has helped lift our broadcast advertising to a new level as this award demonstrates.”

DCP Productions, located in the Canton area of Baltimore, is a content creation boutique known for, among others projects, its work on the national Geico Insurance campaign. Don Cherel, director and owner, designed DCP Productions to streamline and integrate all the facets of content creation under one roof while bringing cutting edge production techniques to clients large and small.

Stevenson’s School of Graduate and Professional Studies was founded in 2002 to serve the real-world needs of working adults. Based at Stevenson’s Owings Mills campus, the School offers accelerated bachelor’s and master’s degree programs online and in the classroom, allowing working professionals to complete a degree in as few as 18 months, part-time.

The School offers accelerated bachelor’s programs in Business Administration, Business Communication, Business and Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice, Interdisciplinary Studies, Nursing RN to BS, and Paralegal Studies. Accelerated master’s programs include Business and Technology Management; Cyber Forensics; Forensic Science; Forensic Studies with accounting, information technology, legal, investigation, interdisciplinary, and criminalistics tracks; Healthcare Management; and Nursing  with a focus on either leadership/management or nursing education.
